ON 7th April 2025, we honored the power of ideas, the spirit of innovation, and the youthful energy shaping our future. This year’s theme celebrates young inventors, creators, and entrepreneurs—those who dare to imagine a better world and take bold steps to make it real. Intellectual Property (IP) gives them the tools to protect their creativity, generate income, create jobs, and tackle global challenges.

To mark this important day, as part of the “Data Protection in the EU – Raising Awareness” project initiative, the Canadian Institute of Technology (CIT) in collaboration with the General Directorate of Industrial Property (DPPI) organized a dedicated event that brought knowledge, inspiration, and purpose to our academic community.

The event was opened by Dr. Enriko Ceko, Head of the Business Administration and Information Technology Department, Faculty of Economy at CIT, who set the tone by emphasizing the crucial link between innovation and data protection in today’s digital world.

Two distinguished specialists from DPPI then shared powerful insights on the role of IP in empowering young minds and driving community development.

The event concluded with closing remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Entelë Gavoçi, wrapping up an engaging and thought-provoking session. This meaningful activity not only raised awareness but also inspired students and participants to look at their ideas as assets—worthy of protection, growth, and recognition.

Let’s continue to support and uplift the creators of today and the changemakers of tomorrow.

Together, we can create, protect, and grow. #WorldIPDay #Innovation #YouthInIP #DPPI #CIT #IntellectualProperty #CreateAndProtect #DataProtection #EmpowerCreativity #FromIdeasToImpact
